The permitted Curraglass wind farm comprises of 7 wind turbines of up to 178.5m base to blade tip height. The development is located 5.6km North-east of Kealkill & 5.5km South-West of the village of Ballingeary. The purpose of this website is to inform the local community about this project. The development will contribute to achieving the country’s renewable energy targets and assist in reducing Ireland’s dependency on fossil fuels. The permitted wind farm will generate direct and indirect local jobs and provide investment in the area through local authority rates / contributions, and a community benefit fund will be made available to fund local initiatives as decided by the local community.

This project is being developed by Wingleaf Ltd., an associate company of Enerco Energy Ltd. which is Irish-owned and based in Cork, with extensive experience in the design, construction and operation of Renewable Energy Developments throughout Ireland.
